A booking link needs a plain, permanent code

Many QR code sites make "dynamic" codes: the code points at their server, which forwards to your link. That is how a code on 500 printed cards stops working when a trial ends or a plan lapses.

This generator makes a static code. Your booking link itself is written into the pattern, so the code works for as long as the link does — nothing sits in between, and nothing can expire.

How it works

How to make your booking QR code

  1. Paste your booking link

Any link clients use to book with you works: a Write Me TG booking page, another booking tool, or the booking page on your own website.

    Online booking link
  2. Open it once to test

Use "Open link" and make sure it lands on your booking page. A Write Me TG booking link is checked for you; links to other sites can't be, so this step is yours.

  3. Pick a size and download

512 px is enough for screens and messages, 1024 px for cards and flyers, 2048 px for posters and window stickers. The file is a PNG with the white margin already around the code.

Before you print

  • Keep the white margin

Scanners need the empty border around the code. Don't crop it, and don't place the code on a busy background.

  • Don't print it too small

About 2 cm (0.8 in) across is the practical minimum for a card held in the hand. The further away people stand, the larger the code has to be — roughly a tenth of the scanning distance.

  • Print one and scan it

Before ordering a full run, print a single copy and scan it with two different phones from where clients will stand.

  • Say what the scan does

A short line next to the code, such as "Scan to book your next visit", gives people a reason to take out their phone.

Plan details are on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed online through Dodo Payments.

Good to know before you start

  • The code is static: it can't be changed after printing. If your booking link changes, make and print a new code.
  • There are no scan statistics. Nothing sits between the code and your link to count scans.
  • Only a Write Me TG booking link can be checked here. For any other site, test the link yourself before you print.
  • On Write Me TG, a free account's booking link has an automatically generated address that stays the same unless you reset it. Choosing your own wording is a paid feature — do it before you print.

Questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. It is a static code with your link written directly into it, so it works for as long as the link itself works.

Do I need an account?

No. The code is made in your browser and downloads straight away. An account is only needed if you also want a booking page.

Does it work with a link from another booking tool?

Yes. Any public web link works. We can't check other sites for you, so open the link once before printing.

Is my link stored anywhere?

No. The code is drawn on your device and the link isn't saved. The one exception: a Write Me TG booking link is looked up once to confirm it exists.

I don't have a booking link yet. What should I do?

Create a free Write Me TG booking page: add a service and your working hours, and your link and its QR code are ready in the dashboard.
